The candidate, who is particularly striking in the election campaign with outrageous speeches and full-bodied announcements, promised to create 25 million jobs, invest massively in the infrastructure, and re-establish trade agreements. So what is coming to the US? Foreclosure and isolation, new tariffs and exploding state debts – How many expert prophesies are there? Will Trump lead to an economic catastrophe or a new miracle? And who are actually Trump’s economic policy consultants? Astrid Petermann discusses with Michael Czinkota, a professor at the Georgetown University in Washington and Valentin Hofstätter, analyst and US expert at Raiffeisen Research, in the Austrian economic magazine SALDO.

Over the past couple of days there have been various posts on Professor Michael Czinkota’s editorial article, “Marketing Internacional Curativo: Nuevo Enfoque en el Campo”. The importance of International Marketing has been discussed both as an aspect of international business and as an academic field. There are clear benefits to international marketing (third installment), but there are also areas that could use improvement (fourth installment.

There are also four different approaches that are presented in order to demonstrate the various ways of working within the new definition of international marketing. They include The Context on the Field – El Contexto en el Campo, The World and its Problems – Verificar la Realidad: Observen el Mundo y sus Problemas, Integration and Proximity – Integración y Proximidad, and Doing the Right Thing and Correctly – Hacer Cosas Correctamente y Hacerlo Correcto.

Verificar la Realidad: Observen el Mundo y sus Problemas – The World and its Problems

In this section, Professor Michael Czinkota looks at the problems facing the world, and the importance of addressing them through International Marketing. Some of the items mentioned are maintaining an international perspective, we can not limit ourselves to English just because it is used frequently in international business negotiations, it is not the only “store of knowledge”.  We have to consider what our allies have to offer as well.

The importance of addressing issues, rather than ignoring is pivotal. One issue mentioned is that of the aging population.
