  1. D. Paceño (Answer: resident of the city of La Paz, Honduras) is wrong, because Honduras is not located in South America. Paceño is a resident of La Paz, the administrative capital of Bolivia, in South America.
    Porteño more precisely identify the citizen resident of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In Peru, for example, the resident at the port of El Callao is called “chalaco” but not porteño.

    • Thank you, Mr. Málaga, for your feedback. You are correct in pointing out that Honduras is not a part of South America. The paceño point is well taken. As to porteño – it is true that the term offen refers to citizens of Buenos Aires, yet many ‘port city’ inhabitants also call themselves porteños.
